Financial Assistance of $960,889 Involving 1,843 Cases at Mayport  

Emergency Aid was provided for the following  

Food and shelter; vehicle repairs and insurance; household set up; medical and dental co-pays; funeral; emergency transportation; miscellaneous  

Other Forms of Assistance  

          Budget for Baby Classes – furnished 170 Layettes (Junior Sea Bags)

            Visiting Nurse – 1,000 patient contacts, home visits

            Casework Services – 1,767 individual counseling and referral cases

            Quick Assist Loans – 742 - $216,775  

Source of Funds  

Local Active Duty Fund Drive collected:  $245,616 in donations

            Active Duty Fund Drives and Retiree solicitations, bequests and memorials

            Among the largest single contribution - Navy-Marine Corps Ball Washington, DC

Spontaneous donations from individuals, organizations and corporations; and investments  

Our Vision  

Founded in 1904, the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is a private, non-profit, charitable organization.  We exist solely to support the active and retired communities of Naval Service.  Located at approximately 254 offices ashore and afloat throughout the world, the Society’s work is accomplished by its 3,400 + dedicated, trained and caring Volunteers who are supported by a small cadre of employees.  The Mayport Office was established in 1963 and has operated continuously since that time.  

Our Mission  

The Society’s mission is to provide – in partnership with the Navy and Marine Corps – financial, educational, and other assistance to members and survivors, when in need: and to manage funds to administer these programs.
