to
Retirees:
Did
you
know
that
you
and
your
family
are
eligible
for
Society
assistance
after
you
retire
from
the
Navy
or
Marine
Corps?
Each
year
in
March,
the
Secretary
of
the
Navy
sends
correspondence
to
all
retired
Sailors
and
Marines.
The
purpose
is
two-fold:
to
remind
retirees
that
they
and
members
of
their
family
remain
eligible
for
Society
assistance
and
to
encourage
them
to
continue
to
support
their
Shipmates
through
a
charitable
gift
to
the
Navy-Marine
Corps
Relief
Society.
Since
1993,
the
generosity
of
retired
Sailors
and
Marines
has
contributed
$24
million.
