Healthy
eating.
Exercise.
Vitamins.
They’re
all
prescribed
for
a
longer
life.
Did
you
know
that
volunteering
could
also
add
years
to
your
life?
A
ten-year
study
at
the
University
of
Michigan
found
that
people
who
do
no
volunteer
work
died
at
an
earlier
age
than
those
who
volunteered
at
least
once
week.
Volunteering
has
added
benefits:
a
sense
of
accomplishment,
a
dose
of
self-respect,
and
a
boost
of
self-confidence.
It
can
also
serve
as
a
reminder
that,
relatively
speaking,
your
troubles
might
not
be
as
severe
as
they
seem.
You
can
even
help
your
résumé
by
volunteering
at
Navy-Marine
Corps
Relief
Society.
While
helping
clients
solve
their
emergency
needs,
you
can
enhance
your
job
skills
and
knowledge
of
written
and
oral
communications,
public
speaking,
computer
software
programs,
training,
personnel
management,
and
family
budgeting.
Opportunities
for
personal
growth
help
you
increase
your
poise
while
you
help
clients
achieve
financial
self-sufficiency.
So,
live
longer,
feel
better,
get
enhanced
skills
and
make
a
difference!

REIMBURSEMENT
for
mileage
&
family
member
care
The
Navy
Marine
Corp
Relief
Society
is
in
need
of
Volunteers
to
give
a
couple
of
hours
of
their
time
each
week
to
help
others
in
need.
The
mission
of
the
NMCRS
is
to
provide
emergency
financial
help
and
educational
assistance
to
members
of
the
Naval
Services
-
active,
retired,
and
family
members
-
when
in
need:
to
assist
them
achieve
financial
self-sufficiency
and
to
find
solutions
to
emergent
requirements.
NMCRS
firmly
believes
in
personal
financial
responsibility.
By
helping
the
service
member
and
family
through
difficult
times
and
by
assisting
them
to
develop
their
own
problem
solving
capabilities,
they
will
achieve
financial
stability,
increase
self-worth
and
reduce
the
need
for
future
financial
assistance.
Without
our
volunteers,
the
Society
could
not
meet
the
needs
of
so
many.
